Lucy Parker

Documentary Producer specialising in history and archaeology, known for bringing the past to life through powerful, visually rich storytelling.

Lucy's Story

Lucy is an experienced television producer whose work includes productions for the BBC, National Geographic and major international broadcasters, covering everything from ancient civilisations and medieval queens to modern conflict archaeology.

Lucy’s passion for history, archaeology and exploration led her to join the team behind National Geographic's Drain the Oceans, where she served as Development Producer across multiple seasons, working closely with experts around the world to uncover the stories behind shipwrecks, lost landscapes, and hidden histories.

Her collaboration with Jim on the series sparked a creative partnership that ultimately led to the launch of Ship Happened. Today, Lucy brings her documentary expertise, storycraft, and curiosity to the podcast, guiding listeners through the remarkable world of underwater archaeology and the human stories preserved beneath the waves.
